Basics Trainings | ||||||||||||
The participants are taught the main features for handling of FEM-Program LS-DYNA and finally can solve non-linear, transient dynamic tasks independently. Pre and Postprocessing aspects will be introducedd and discussed using LS-PrePost. Apart from imparting the workflow around LS-DYNA, also individual working and compeletion of practise examples are done, such taht participants are made sure to get an introduction and mediation of basic knowledge. | 03-02 L.-Echt. (D) | 14-04 Grafing (D) | 23-06 Dortmund (D) | 01-09 Hannover (D) | 17-11 L.-Echt. (D)
The participants learn the efficient, robust and exact contact modelling in LS-DYNA. By recognition and avoidance of mistakes, the number of costly wrong trials is minimized and the stability of the calculation as well as the quality of the results is increased. | 29-11 L.-Echt. (D)
The detailed examination of numerical simulation is especially important in case of explicit time integration. Energy conservation, force equilibrium in contact, hourglass-stabilization, small penetrations as well as plausibility checks are only a view criteria to be named and have to be investigated by the user. What and how to check as well as the correct evaluation of results is the topic of this class. Based on examples the proceedure will be shown. | 25-10 L.-Echt. (D)
The participants get insight into the theory of different material models of LS-DYNA. Frequently used material laws and material classes are discussed and hints for the application are given as well as for material parameter identification. | 15-10 L.-Echt. (D)
A goal of this seminar is to give the participant in depth view of mechanics, modeling and simulation of connectors with LS-DYNA. Apart from the discussion and introduction of modeling assumptions and model development, the possibilities for representation of the individual connections available in LS-DYNA are introduced and analyzed critically. | 14-10 L.-Echt. (D)
Advanced Trainings | ||||||||||||
CAE-based optimization and CAE-stochastic analysis are key components of modern virtual prototyping. Successful strategies balance the effort between optimization to achieve design improvements and stochastic analysis to make sure that the design is still robust enough against unavoidable scatter. After some background of methodology the successful application of LS-OPT and optiSLang in combination with LS-DYNA will be shown and the state of the art will be discussed at practical applications. | 24-11 L.-Echt. (D)
In this seminar, you will learn the usage and the handling of the ALE and FSI methodology in LS-DYNA. Based on the practical examples the application possibilities are demonstrated and important adjustment options in the Keyword file are described and discussed. | 06-10 L.-Echt. (D)
The participants learn the physical and modellng-technical basics of crash simulations. These provide support for the practical application, for the assessment of the important compromise between precision and cost. The seminar leader Paul Du Bois is an world-wide recognized expert in crash simulation and works in this area as consultant for many different vehicle manufacturers. | 25-05 L.-Echt. (D) | 30-11 Grafing (D)
An overview on type and application of different Dummy-models is given, as well as the current status of regulation. Application of Dummies in connection with restraint systems is explained and made familiar with help of examples. | 16-09 Grafing (D)
It is the goal of the seminar to give an overview on LS-DYNA material models for thermoplastics, foams and rubber materials and their application. Thereby practical aspects of usage as well as theoretical background of the material models is discussed. | 30-09 Grafing (D)
The participants get a basic insight into compsites and their simulation with LS-DYNA. They are put into the position to solve simulation tasks for composites. | 12-10 L.-Echt. (D)
New Methods | ||||||||||||
The seminar demonstrates the theoretical basics of ALE-formulation and Fluid-Structure interaction in LS-DYNA. Furthermore practical application areas of the methodology are introduced and discussed. | 04-10 L.-Echt. (D)
Learn to use LS-DYNA to solve heat transfer problems in combination with structural mechanics. Main applications are thermal-stress coupling in hot stamping, rolling and forging.
Goal of this seminar is, to bring the participant close to the handling of the Mesh-free methods Element Free Galerkin (EFG) in LS-DYNA. The underlaying basic theory is presented elaborately, in order to understand the principle of the mesh-free methods. Examples clarify the application and handling of the methods.
Goal of this seminar is, to bring the participant close to the handling of the Mesh-free methods “Smooth Particle hydrodynamics” (SPH) in LS-DYNA. The underlaying basic theory is presented elaborately, in order to understand the principle of the mesh-free methods. Examples clarify the application and handling of the methods.
